Digi provides LOS M2M communication modules
The XBee modules provided by Digi could be usefull for a wide variety of M2M applications – Power line managemnt, Environment monitoring, Traffic sensor data collection’ s- basically applications where you have LOS and no cheap way to get data from Point A to B.

Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) today introduced XBee-PRO® 868 embeddable RF modules and standalone device adapters, powerful XBee products that provide up to 40 kilometers of RF line-of-sight (LOS) transmission. The products are ideal for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications in challenging terrain or long-range environments such as remote sensor networks, building automation applications, Automatic Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Customers using the XBee-PRO 868 can easily migrate to other XBee solutions including pin-compatible 900 MHz options used primarily in North America, and 2.4 GHz ZigBee and proprietary options available globally.
The release of 3G Router MR-900 — as low as $150
Beijing, China—June 4, 2009—ETUNG Technology, the leading wireless M2M product and technology provider, today announced the formal release of 3G wireless router MR-900E, MR-900W and MR-900-4. The new family of wireless router offers customers up to 7.1 Mbps high speed wireless link for video, voice and data transmission.

MR900E/MR900W supports WCDMA UMTS or CDMA EVDO, the most widely used 3G standards in the world. And MR900-4 is a 4-port Ethernet router and ideal for small offices or remote logistic applications.
With the cooperation of China Telecom and China Unicom, MR900 router has been lab tested, field proved and used in applications such as ATM banking security, IP camera based video surveillance and small office internet access.
